Troubleshooting tips for your Side by Side Fridge

My fridge is making a noise – is this normal?

Occasionally, your fridge will make noises that may sound unusual. In most cases, this is normal. Here’s some information on different sounds and what you should do about them.

 

Why isn’t my fridge cooling properly?

When first using your fridge, be patient – it may take a number of hours to reach the set temperature.

 

However, if at any point after this time your fridge isn't cooling properly, these tips should help you figure out what's going on.

1 Make sure your fridge can breathe, so leave at least 50mm around the sides and 100mm at the top.
2 Ensure the right placement. Make sure your fridge is level and is not exposed to direct sunlight or close to a heat source, like an oven.
3 Keep the fridge stocked, but not full to the brim. Overloading the fridge or putting things too close to the vents can impact the temperature at various spots.
4 Keep the doors shut and tight. Frequently opening and closing the doors, or door seals that aren't closing properly will let cool air escape.

Should the sides of my fridge feel hot?

You may notice the outside of your fridge feels warm. This a normal result of the heat dissipated by the refrigeration process.

Why is my water dispenser leaking?
