Answering Calls and Text Messages on the Galaxy Watch Active

Life feels easier with your Galaxy Watch Active on your wrist when you’re out and about. When you have connected your compatible smartphone and the Galaxy Watch Active through Bluetooth connectivity you will be able to view incoming calls and texts as well as manage your notifications without having to check your phone. Once you have your compatible smartphone and Galaxy Watch Active connected via Bluetooth, head into the Galaxy Wearables App  → Settings  → Notifications  → Manage Notifications  → enable your preferred apps

Answering and making Calls

If you press the power button (Home Button) to access your apps tray, you should be able to locate the phone icon, this will allow you to make calls directly through the watch. You will have the option of calling your most recent contacts, search through your contact list or dial from the keypad. 

Please Note:  You can make or check incoming calls and answer them from your Galaxy Watch Active however, you will proceed to continue the conversation through your compatible mobile device.

When an incoming call comes through, you will be notified from the watch and you will have the option to answer or decline the call.

1 To answer a call, simply slide the answer icon from the left to right on the watch face.

You can have phone conversation through the connected mobile device with your Galaxy Watch Active. If you have a call waiting, you can receive calls while you are on the phone. When you answer the second call, you can place the current call on hold or end it.

2 If you choose to decline the call, simply slide the decline icon from right to left of the screen.

To send a message when rejecting an incoming call, swipe upwards from the bottom edge of the screen.

Replying to a Text Message

When an incoming message pops up on the Watch face you will be given the option to reply directly through the text or clear the notification by swiping the screen up to that pop up. 

To reply to a text simply select the text notification and choose from the options – Voice-to-text, Emoji, Keyboard or Quick Responses and tap on send once completed.
