Galaxy A21s: Device Layout & Functions

Immerse yourself in the large 6.5 inch Infinity-O Display of Galaxy A21s. A wide aspect ratio fills your screen with content from edge to edge. Watch your favourite videos, games and live streams on its HD+ display.

**Measured diagonally, the screen size is 6.5" in the full rectangle and 6.5" with accounting for the rounded corners. Actual viewable area is less due to the rounded corners and the camera cutout.

Charging the battery

It is recommended to charge the battery before using it for the first time or when it has been unused for extended periods. Please ensure you charge your device only with Samsung approved chargers and cables. Unapproved chargers and cables could damage your device. The Galaxy A21 has an in-built fast charging feature, you can easily enable this by heading into your Settings > Device Care > Battery > Charging > Toggle on Fast charging.

Please Note: The Galaxy A21 can not be wirelessly charged. If you are trying to enable Fast Charging function within the Device Care settings ensure that you are not cable charging the device prior to activating.

1 Connect the USB cable to the USB power adaptor.
2 Plug the USB cable into the device’s multipurpose jack.
3 Plug the USB power adaptor into an electric socket.
4 Plug the USB power adaptor into an electric socket.After fully charging, disconnect the charger from the device.Then, unplug the charger from the electric socket.

Inserting the SIM card

The Galaxy A21 is compatible with a nano-SIM card.

1 Insert the ejection pin into the hole next to the tray to loosen the tray.

Ensure that the ejection pin is perpendicular to the hole. Otherwise, the device may be damaged.

2 Pull out the tray gently from the tray slot.
3 Place the SIM card on the SIM card tray with the gold-coloured.
4 Gently press the SIM card into the SIM card tray to secure it.

If the card is not fixed firmly into the tray, the SIM card may leave or fall out of the tray.

5 Insert the tray back into the tray slot.
  • If you insert the tray into your device while the tray is wet, your device may be damaged. Always make sure the tray is dry.
  • Fully insert the tray into the tray slot to prevent liquid from entering your device.

Inserting the SD card

With 32GB internal and up to 512TB external storage, you'll have plenty of room to stream, download and post. Please note that some SD cards may not be compatible with your device depending on the memory card manufacturer and type.

The Galaxy A21 is compatible with a Micro-SD Card.

1 Insert the ejection pin into the hole next to the tray to loosen the tray.

2 Pull out the tray gently from the tray slot.

When you remove the tray from the device, the mobile data connection will be disabled.

3 Place a memory card on the memory card tray with the gold-coloured contacts facing downwards.
4 Gently press the memory card into the memory card tray to secure it.

If the card is not fixed firmly into the tray, the SIM card may leave or fall out of the tray.

5 Insert the tray back into the tray slot.
Caution:
  • If you insert the tray into your device while the tray is wet, your device may be damaged. Always make sure the tray is dry.
  • Fully insert the tray into the tray slot to prevent liquid from entering your device.

Powering the Device On / Off

As the Power and Bixby functions have now been intergrated to one button it may seem tricky powering your device on or off. Fortunately, there are a few different ways of powering your Galaxy A21 off. Either through your Quick Panel, using the hard keys or activiating Bixby Voice and saying "Turn off the phone." Click one of the drop down menus below to learn all the different ways of powering down your Galaxy A21.

1 Swipe down to access your Quick Settings and tap on the Power Icon button.

Powering off via Side Key

On Galaxy A21, you can now remap the power off menu by pressing and holding the Side key unlike previous devices. If you are pressing the side key and noticing that only Bixby is being launched, you may need to customise your Side key functions.

1 Launch Settings > Advanced Features
2 Tap on Side Key
3 Under Press and Hold, select Power off menu

Using the Side & Volume Keys

1 Press and hold the Side and Volume down keys.
2 Tap on Power Off
