How to play music on the Gear Fit or Galaxy Watch

Want to play music directly from your Samsung watch but not too sure how? Or maybe you want the music stored on your Samsung watch to listen through your Galaxy Buds, whatever the reason you can easily transfer music from your connected smartphone to your Galaxy watch. Simply follow the below guide for step by step instructions.

Before you follow the below guide ensure your Samsung watch is paired to your compatible smartphone and you have transferred the media file from your smartphone directly to the watch.

1 Press the Power Key to open Apps screen.
2 Open the Music Player app

3 Tap the Settings cogwheel in the top right of the screen
Tap the Settings cogwheel
4 Tap the selection at the top to choose between playing music from your connected phone, or the Gear Fit.

1 Press the Home key to access the Apps screen
2 Open the Music app
Open up the music app on your watch

3 Tap the at the top to choose between playing music from your connected phone, or the Gear Watch. If you would like to play directly through the watch speaker tap
Tap on phone or watch icon to either play directly through the watch or change the song from the phone

Please Note: You will need to check the device specs to confirm if your Samsung Watch has a speaker in order to play directly from the watch. If your watch doesn't have a speaker, you may be able to connect bluetooth earphones to your watch to listen to your music files.

4 Press play icon to start playing the media file
Press play to start playing music

If you would like to play a particular Playlist or Album swipe up on the arrow up icon for more options.

5 Select an option within your Music Library to either search for a particular song within your Tracks, play a certain Playlist or locate a specific Artist
Swipe down the screen to view the Music Library
