How to reset the password to unlock Secure Folder

If you have forgotten how to unlock your Secure Folder, you can reset the Secure Folder lock using your Samsung Account. 


Note: You will need to have a valid Internet connection active on your device in order to reset your Secure Folder password.

How to recover Secure folder credentials:

1 On the Secure Folder lock screen, select Forgot PIN at the bottom
Select Forgot Pin
2 Tap Reset to sign into your Samsung Account
Select Reset
3 Sign into your Samsung Account to continue
Sign into your Samsung Account
4 Select Change lock type to confirm a new PIN, Pattern or Password - you may also be able to activate Biometric data to unlock your Secure Folder
Select Change Lock Type and set a new pin pattern or password
5 Create your new PIN, pattern or password to finish - you'll be able to access your Secure Folder right away
Set your new credentials
