How to backup data on Galaxy Note9?

There are multiple ways to backup your Note9. Select one of the following options to learn more:

Backup through Samsung CloudClick to Expand
Samsung Cloud

Samsung Cloud allows you to sync to your device to backup information keeping your important data secure and available on all your devices, such as: 


Calendar (events and tasks). 

Contacts (contacts, emails, addresses, and business cards).

Internet (bookmarks, saved pages, and open tabs).   

Keyboard (predictive text data).   

Memo (voice memos, images, and tasks).

Samsung Notes (notes and categories). 

S Note (action memos, favourites, and categories). 

Samsung Pass (sign in information). 

Scrapbook (scrapbooks, images, screenshots, and addresses).

Gallery (pictures, videos, and stories).


All you need to do to use the Samsung Cloud service is to login to a Samsung account.

Samsung Cloud allows for up to 15GB of cloud storage. 

Samsung Cloud
1 Launch the Settings app and then tap on Cloud and accounts > Samsung Cloud.
2 The Samsung Cloud page will show you how much storage you have left, what is being stored and what devices are currently connected to the account.
3 Tap on More Options (the three dots) > Settings > Auto backup settings > select which data you want to backup.

Note: Samsung Cloud automatically backs up your data when you are connected to Wi-Fi.

You can also backup specific files using Samsung Cloud Drive:

1 Launch the Settings app and then tap on Cloud and accounts > Samsung Cloud.
2 Tap on SAMSUNG CLOUD DRIVE > + icon > Upload file.

Smart Switch backup via SD Card

Note: Micro SD card must have enough memory to backup contents from internal storage. Please make sure your SD card is not encrypted if you are planning to Factory Data Reset your device.

1 Launch the Smart Switch app. If on initial launch, you must allow permissions for Smart Switch backup to work.
2 Tap on EXTERNAL STORAGE > BACK UP > select which items you want to back up and tap on BACK UP.
