How to use Samsung Members Diagnostics on the Note9

Samsung Members is an app for support and device diagnostics. It will allow you to submit error reports and request help across lots of Samsung Apps and services. Samsung Members also has diagnostic capabilities that will help maximise the device performance and help identify any problems.


There are lots of ways to get in touch with support if you do need help, including Remote Support (installation of Smart Tutor is required), Live Chat, and lots of FAQs with tips and tricks.


Click on one of the below options to find out more about Diagnostics:

1 Launch the Samsung Members app and tap on the DIAGNOSTICS tab.

Note: On initial startup, you will be asked to agree to T&Cs. 

Test HardwareClick to Expand
Test Hardware
2 Tap on Test hardware and select which piece of hardware you want to diagnose from the provided list.
Clean Memory / StorageClick to Expand
Clean Memory / Storage
2 Tap on Clean memory/storage > FREE UP NOW. This will clear up temp files and cache data from the RAM and internal storage.
Uninstall unused appsClick to Expand
Uninstall unused apps
2 Tap on Uninstall unused apps and Samsung Members will give you a list of apps that have not been used for a long time.
Optimise settingsClick to Expand
Optimise settings
2 Tap on Optimise settings and select which settings you would like to optimise to save battery power. If you would like to choose all, tap on OPTIMISE ALL.
