Using One UI on Galaxy Wearable

Last modified : Jun 06. 2019

The latest software version available to download on the Galaxy Watch, Gear Sport and Gear S3 is designed to synchronise One UI between your Galaxy Wearable and Galaxy phone. The update includes Samsung’s bold, simple and colourful One UI, designed for natural and comfortable navigation with reduced visual clutter for a clean and intuitive interface. The below guide will explain some of the new and improved features now available on your Galaxy watch.

If you haven't already updated your Galaxy Watch or you're not too sure how to check out our guide How to update the software of my Wearable.

Focused Information

The new design is now improved to a bold and clean style to only show simplified information and make the watch face display look broader.

Linked Colour & Information

As long as your Galaxy watch is connected to your Galaxy smartphone, information will automatically sync between the two devices. This also means that when alarms go off or new contacts are created, the two devices will share the same core colour and design layout.

Syncing Do not Disturb

Whether you're watching a movie or studying and you don't want to be distracted, you can easily enable Do no Disturb mode from your watch or vice versa. This will instantly sync to your Galaxy device, so no notifications pop up and disrupt you. Whenever you're ready to disable this setting, choose either your watch or phone to turn off on both devices.

To disable the Do no Disturb sync between your phone and watch, head into your Galaxy wearable app > Sync phone settings > toggle off Sync Do not Disturb.
