Unlocking my Samsung Phone

Forgotten your primary PIN, pattern or password and you're unable to use your fingerprint or facial recognition biometrics? There are a few different ways to unlock your device or remove the lock altogether - either via Find my Mobile or Smart Lock. Follow the below guide for more information.

Using Find my Mobile

For further information on setting up Find my Mobile click here.

1 Click on Unlock
2 Read through the on-screen instructions then click on Unlock
3 Re-enter your Samsung Account password and tick the reCAPTCHA box then click on NEXT

Using Smart Lock

Smart Lock allows you to add Trusted devices, places or on-body detection to keep your Galaxy device unlocked within the correct condtion. 

1 Head into your Settings > Lock Screen
2 Tap on Smart Lock then enter in your device passcode

Note: Smart Lock will only be available if your Galaxy device has a passcode set.

3 Select Trusted places
4 Tap on Add trusted place
5 Search for a location you would like to add as a Trusted place
6 Confirm the address then tap on Select

If you have not previously setup Smart Lock or signed into your Samsung Account on your Galaxy device, you may not be able to unlock your phone or tablet via the above steps. If that is the case, you may have to either Factory Data Reset your device or head into your nearest Samsung Store for further support. 

If you have chosen to factory data reset your device, please be advised that any unsaved data will be lost and your phone will be restored to factory settings.
