Please follow the instructions to troubleshoot issues related to your Smart TV:

1 Turn on the TV and press the MENU button from your remote control and check if the menu appears.
2 Choose the following options depending if the Menu appears or does not appear.

Please note: If you do not have a remote control, use the controls (short joystick) located on the back of the TV and toggle until a desired option is selected.

If the menu appears then your TV is powered ON, but it may not be on the correct source or not receiving a signal. To troubleshoot the issue, follow these steps:

1 Press the SOURCE button on your remote and see if your TV is set to the same source as the connected device. If it is not then set it to the correct source.

Example: If you have connected your cable box to HDMI 1 make sure that the TV source is set to HDMI 1. If your TV is set to the correct source and you still have no picture, continue to Step 2.

2 If your TV is set to the correct source, make sure that the cables are firmly connected to the input on the back of your TV and the output on your external device. If the cables are securely connected, continue to Step 3.

3 Unplug the external device for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Power the external device back on. If you still have no picture, continue to Step 4.
4 Test other devices connected to the TV and see if they are displaying an image.

Example: Test a DVD player, Game System, VCR, etc. If you have a picture with this device then the original device is defective and will need service. If you still do not have a picture with the secondary device, continue to Step 5.

5 Replace the connecting cable with a new or known working cable. If you still do not have an image on the TV, your TV needs to be serviced. Please use one of the options at the end of the page to book in for a repair.

Try unplugging the TV from the power socket for 10 seconds and then try again.

If the TV does not bring up the red standby light then there is an issue related to the power board or damaged power cable. In this case please contact Samsung Customer Care using one of the options below.
