How do I setup wireless connection on my Blu-ray player?

Blu-ray wireless connection

You can set up a wireless connection in one of the following ways:

 

●   Wireless Automatic

●   Wireless Manual -  Use this method when the wireless automatic does not work or when you have a static IP.

●   WPS (PBS)

●   WPS (PIN)

Please note: During wireless network configuration, any wired or wireless connection established will be disconnected. 

Select one of the preferred methods to connect your Blu-ray device to a wireless network connection: 

Wireless connection

Wireless - AutomaticClick to Expand
1 From the Home screen, select Settings and press OK from your remote control.
2 Select General and press OK.
3 Select Network and press OK.
4 Select Network Settings and press OK.
5 Select Wireless from Network Type screen and select OK.
6 Select a desired network and press OK. You may also select Add Network at the bottom of the wireless connection (Use this method when you know SSID of the wireless router).
7 Enter the Network Security Code or Pass Phrase on the security screen.
8 When finished, select Done and then press OK. Verification initiates and when a connection is complete press OK.
Wireless - ManualClick to Expand
1 From the Home screen, select Settings and press OK from your remote control.
2 Select General and press OK.
3 Select Network and press OK.
4 Select Network Settings and press OK.
5 Select Wireless from Network Type screen and select OK.
6 Select the desired network and press OK. You may also select Add Network at the bottom of the wireless connection (Use this method when you know SSID of the wireless router).
7 The device searches for a network and then displays the connection failure message. Select IP Settings at the bottom of the screen and then press OK. The screen now disappears.
8 Select the IP Settings field and enter the field manually and press OK.
9 Select a parameter to enter IP address (for example) and press OK. Use navigation keys on the remote control to toggle between fields and press OK upon completion.
10 Enter the Network Security Code or Pass Phrase on the security screen.
11 When finished, select Done and then press OK. Verification initiates and when a connection is complete select OK and then press OK.
WPS (PBC)Click to Expand
1 From the Home screen, select Settings and press OK from your remote control.
2 Select General and press OK.
3 Select Network and press OK.
4 Select Network Settings and press OK.
5 Select Wireless from Network Type screen and select OK.
6 Select a desired network and press OK to select Use WPS. A dialog box appears "Press the WPS or PBC button on your wireless router within the next two minutes."
7 Press the WPS or PBS button on your router within two minutes. Your product automatically acquires all the network settings values it needs and connects to your network.

Before commensing, open the router's setup menu on your PC and access the screen with the WPS PIN entry field. 

1 From the Home screen, select Settings and press OK from your remote control.
2 Select General and press OK.
3 Select Network and press OK.
4 Select Network Settings and press OK.
5 Select Wireless from Network Type screen and select OK.
6 Select a desired network and press OK.
7 Enter the PIN into the WPS PIN entry field in the router Set Up screen and then save the screen.

Please note:

 

●     For instructions on how to access the route's set up screen or refer to the router user manual.

●     For a WPS connection, set your wireless router security encryption method to AES. WPS connections does not support WEP security encryption.
