Recommendations for Optimal Performance


General


When your oven is operating the oven elements will cycle on and off. Clicking noises will also occur. Clicking noises occur as part of the normal operation of the range and are indicative of your range maintaining an accurate temperature control.


On newer models including slide in ranges. (2016-present), the convection fan will operate during bake not just convection bake. When using regular bake function the convection fan run time will be less and cycle off time will be greater as compared to convection ranges. This ensures better cooking performance.


If you would like to calibrate the temperature of the range to match your old range, you can calibrate the temperature by following the instructions in the user manual. When the oven is used for the first time, you may notice a burning smell. This is normal. Before cooking, turn the oven to 350F for 30 minutes. This will eliminate the initial burning/smoking smell that is common to new units.


Induction


This is an electromagnet you can cook with. When a high frequency current is passed through the coil below the ceramic glass, it creates an electromagnetic field of energy but does not heat up. The cooking pot uses the energy to produce heat. Induction cooktop only heats the area that comes in contact with magnetic or iron-content cookware.


Cookware MUST have a flat bottom that makes good contact with the entire surface of the cooking zone. Copper , aluminum, ceramics, earthen, glass cookware and most stainless steel pans and glass cookware do not work.


Induction cooktops can produce a small amount of noise. The type and quality of the cookware can affect the amount of noise it will produce.
