Q: Does Twin Cooling consume more energy?
A: Not at all. Because Twin Cooling only cools the zone that needs cooling, energy is not wasted on cooling the freezer first.
Q: How do consumers know that the Twin Cooling systems is actually working?
A: There are a couple of tests that consumers can do to see the benefits for themselves. First, they could place a glass of water test or plate of spinach in their single-cooling system refrigerator. Over a two-day period, they can watch the spinach become dry and begin to rot and the water evaporate from the glass. A similar test in a Samsung Twin Cooling refrigerator would show a much slower rate of rot in the spinach and evaporation in the water.
Q: Are all these refrigerators Energy Star qualified?
A: Energy Star ratings are the energy conservation standard for refrigerators in North America. As our Twin Cooling refrigerator is a new entry to this market, we have not yet attended the certification. However, we have constructed this line of refrigerators to meet or exceed the Energy Star standards and we are certain that we will attain the certification once they have completed the appropriate trials.
Q: Does this technology cost more?
A: Our trademarked Samsung design allows us to offer this technology at competitive prices. This technological feature is bundled in with other features for a very compelling value.
Q: How does this line of refrigerators give me more control of my fridge?
A: The Quatro line features four separate, independently adjustable cooling systems, allowing two of the compartments to be convertible – the Arctic Select Zone and the Fresh Select Zone.
The Arctic Select zone is an extension to the freezer and can be set at temperature ranging from -25°C to 1°C, letting you change the compartment from a freezer to a fridge or something in between at the touch of a button. The Fresh Select Zone can be set at temperatures between -5°C to 4°C, allowing consumers to select the perfect environment for temperature sensitive foods.
