Galaxy Gear™ : How do I Wake Up my Samsung Galaxy Gear™ when it goes to sleep?

Last Update Date : May 16. 2018

Galaxy Gear™ - Wake-Up

Once your Samsung Galaxy Gear™ goes to sleep, you can turn it back on or wake up the device by pressing the Power/Lock key, located on the side of the device.

In addition, you can use a motion gesture to wake up the device. Raise your arm that your Galaxy Gear is on and look at the screen for one or two seconds. You can also shake your arm to wake up the device.

NOTE: The device may not wake up if you are leaning back or lying down.

To enable the wake-up gesture, from the Home screen of the mobile device, touch Apps 1 > Gear Manager a > Settings Settings More Tab Icon > Wake-up gesture. Touch the slider Slider Off to turn Wake-up gesture on Slider On . Touch Select screen shown, and choose to display the Clock or Last viewed screen.

NOTE: Enabling this feature will consume battery power, as it is constantly using the motion sensor to detect movement.
