Bluetooth


Bluetooth lets you connect your Note8 to so many different devices, like speakers, headphones, or even other phones. Turn your phone into a concert stage by connecting to Bluetooth speakers. Or forgo the tangled mess of headphone wires and pair with Bluetooth headphones.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Connect to a Bluetooth device from settings


Got a Bluetooth headphone you want to pair with? Follow the instructions below to get your devices connected:

1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

2. Touch Settings.

3. Touch Connections.

4. Touch Bluetooth.

5. To turn on Bluetooth, touch the slider.

6. Select the device you want to connect to.

Note: If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions, and then touch OK.

7. The device you selected to pair with will now appear under PAIRED DEVICES.

1. To open the notification panel, swipe down from the top of the screen.

2. To turn on Bluetooth, touch the Bluetooth icon:

3. Select the device you want to connect to.

Note: If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions, and then touch OK.

4. The device you selected to pair with will now appear under PAIRED DEVICES.

Disconnect from a Bluetooth device from settings


When finished using Bluetooth devices, it’s a good idea to turn off Bluetooth to save battery life. Learn how to disable Bluetooth below:

1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

2. Touch Settings.

3. Touch Connections.

4. Touch Bluetooth.

5. To turn off Bluetooth, touch the slider.

1. To open the notification panel, swipe down from the top of the screen.

2. To turn off Bluetooth, touch the Bluetooth icon:

Unpair from a Bluetooth device from settings


Note: When you unpair from a Bluetooth device, the two devices no longer recognize each other.

1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

2. Touch Settings.

3. Touch Connections.

4. Touch Bluetooth.

5. Touch the Settings icon next to the paired device.

6. Touch Unpair.

2. Touch and hold the Bluetooth icon.

Note: To connect again, you have to pair the devices.
