Galaxy S3: How do I uninstall an application?
Uninstall and Disable Applications
You can use the Task manager application to uninstall Android™ applications and widgets you have downloaded on your device. To open the Task manager application quickly, press and hold the Home key for one to two seconds, and then touch Task manager .
Touch the Downloaded tab, and scroll to the application you wish to uninstall. Touch the Uninstall button next to the application’s name, review the information page, and then touch Uninstall.
You can also uninstall the application from the Apps menu. Touch Apps > Menu > Uninstall. Applications that can be uninstalled will be marked with . Only applications you downloaded to your device can be uninstalled. Scroll to the application, and touch the application icon. Touch OK on the confirmation window.
Uninstall Using the Application Manager
From the Home screen, touch Menu > Settings > More > Application manager . If necessary, swipe to the DOWNLOADED tab. Touch the application in the list. Touch Uninstall > OK. Applications preloaded on your device cannot be uninstalled, but you can uninstall any updates you have applied by touching Uninstall updates > Uninstall.
Turn Off Apps
You can turn off certain preloaded (or system) applications on your device. Once turned off, the application will be hidden and will no longer be accessible until it is turned on.
From the Home screen, touch Menu > Settings > More > Application manager . Touch the application you would like to turn off, then touch Turn off. A message will warn you about turning off built-in applications; touch OK to proceed. Before the application can be turned off, any updates will be uninstalled and replaced with the factory default version; touch Uninstall to proceed.
NOTE: If updates are uninstalled, once you turn the application back on, you will then need to apply any updates via the Google Play™ Store.
Turn On Apps
The Application manager lets you turn on disabled apps. Touch Menu > Settings > More > Application manager . Swipe to the TURNED OFF. tab at the top of the screen. Touch the app you wish to turn on, and then touch Turn on.
