Galaxy S4: How do I Create or Delete a Calendar Event?
Create and Delete Calendar Events
To create a calendar event on your mobile device, open the Calendar and touch the date you wish to add the event to. Touch New at the top of the screen.
Note: Additional options may be available when you are creating a calendar event for your ActiveSync® calendar.
Select the Calendar you want to have the event added to (local or online calendar), and then enter the Title and the time of the event (or All day).
You can set the event to Repeat and add Reminders to the event. You can also add a Location to the event and note any additional information about the event in the Description field. Add any Participants you want to invite to the event (not available if My Calendar is selected).
If you share this calendar with others, you can select the Show me as option to display event times as Busy or Available. Set the Privacy option to set the event to Private or Public.
You can add a new or existing memo by touching Memos. Touch Images to add or capture a new image.
When you are satisfied with the information, touch Save.
To quickly add an event to a date, touch the date of the event twice, and enter the title. For example, enter "Birthday Party at 1 pm" and touch OK. A new calendar event will be scheduled for all day. If you are viewing the calendar's Day view, you can touch and hold the time you want to quickly add an event to, enter "Birthday Party at 1 pm," and touch OK. A new calendar event will be scheduled for one hour. Touch Edit event details to access all the event options.
Delete a Calendar Event
Touch Menu > Delete. Mark the entries you wish to delete, and touch Delete > OK. The view you are in (Year, Month, Week, Day, List, or Task) will determine which events will be available to delete. For example, if you are in the Month view, you will see only events listed for the selected month.
When you are deleting a repeating event, you need to select additional options. Open the event (in Detail view), and touch Menu > Delete. Select Only this event to delete just the selected event. Select This and future events to delete the selected event and all future events. Select All repetitive events to delete all instances of the event from your calendar. Touch OK to confirm the event deletion.
Note: Some events cannot be deleted from the calendar. If an event originated from another application (for example, for birthdays and events added to your calendar from your contacts), you will need to delete the event in the originating application.
