Galaxy S5: Does not recognize my Fingerprint
Q: My Galaxy S5 sometimes does not recognize my fingerprints. What should I do?
A: For best results, swipe the entire pad of your finger from base to tip across the home key to register your fingerprints properly. Keep your finger flat against the home key and swipe at a moderate speed. The fingerprint sensor is sensitive to moisture, so make sure both the screen and your fingertips are dry.
The device may not recognize your fingerprints if you bend your finger or use a fingertip. The device may not also recognize your fingerprints if you use the accessory like key protector on the devicce.
Note: The Home button contains the fingerprint recognition sensor. To ensure the Home button is not scratched or damaged, avoid contacts with metal objects such as coins, keys and necklaces.
