Galaxy View: How do I uninstall or turn off applications on my Samsung Galaxy View?

Applications


To make the most of your device's internal storage capacity, you can uninstall or turn off applications you don't use. Downloaded applications can be uninstalled, and preloaded applications can be turned off.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Uninstall Download Applications


Note: Preloaded applications (applications built into your device) cannot be uninstalled. You can only turn them off.

From the Apps menu, you can view all of your downloaded applications and quickly uninstall any you don't need.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1.

2. Touch EDIT.

3. Touch 1 on the application you want to uninstall and then touch UNINSTALL.

Using the Application Manager


From the Application manager, you can uninstall any applications and application updates you have downloaded. 1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1.

2. Touch Settings 1.

3. Touch Applications 1 > Application manager 1.

4. In the DOWNLOADED screen, touch the application you want to uninstall.

5. Touch UNINSTALL > UNINSTALL.

6. Applications preloaded on your device cannot be uninstalled, but you can uninstall any updates you have applied by touching UNINSTALL UPDATES > OK.

Turn Off Preloaded Applications


From the Apps menu, you can turn off preloaded applications. Once turned off, an application will be hidden and will not be accessible until it is turned on.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps1.

2. Touch EDIT.

3. Touch 1 on the application you want to turn off and then touch DISABLE to proceed.

4. Before the application can be turned off, any updates will be uninstalled and replaced with the factory default version. If any updates were installed, touch UNINSTALL to finish turning off the application.


Using the Application Manager


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1.

2. Touch Settings 1.

3. Touch Applications 1 > Application manager 1.

4. Swipe to the ALL screen and touch the application you want to turn off.

5. Touch DISABLE.

6. Touch OK to confirm your understanding that turning off built-in applications may cause errors.

Turn On Preloaded Applications


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1.

2. Touch Settings 1.

3. Touch Applications 1 > Application manager1.

4. Swipe to the DISABLED screen and touch the application you want to turn on.

5. Touch ENABLE.

6. If updates were uninstalled, you will need to apply any updates via Google Play™ store.
