Galaxy Watch - Manage Payment Cards for Samsung Pay (SM-R800 & SM-R810)

Use Samsung Pay on your watch to pay on the go. You can add, verify, remove or import payment card. The steps below will help you manage all you cards.

Available screens and settings may vary by provider, phone, or watch.

Add a Card ManuallyClick to Expand

If you're having trouble adding your card automatically, follow these steps to manually add a payment card to Samsung Pay on your watch. On your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app, touch the SETTINGS tab, and then swipe to and touch Samsung Pay. Touch ADD on the upper right side of the screen, and then touch Add credit or debit card.

Align your card inside the frame to automatically detect the card number and expiration date. If the card appears blurry when attempting to capture its photo, or if the physical card is not available, you can enter the information by touching Enter card manually. Enter all required information and then touch NEXT. Review "TERMS OF SERVICE", and then touch AGREE TO ALL. Select one of the following options to verify your card. Once verification is complete, touch DONE. Follow the on-screen prompts to learn how to make payments on your watch.

After your card is added to Samsung Pay, it will be verified by the payment card network and the card issuer. On average, verification will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes. During that time, you will be unable to use your card in Samsung Pay. After the card is verified, it can be used immediately to make a purchase.

When adding a payment card to Samsung Pay, you will be asked to select one of the following options to verify your card: SMS, EMAIL, or CALL BANK. If you are in a hurry and need to verify later, you may touch Later, and then touch OK.

If you're having trouble verifying a payment card on Samsung Pay on your watch, make sure you've entered the correct information. If you are unable to verify your card in Samsung Pay, contact the card issuer for assistance.

Verify a Payment Card

Later, on your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app, touch the SETTINGS tab, and the swipe to and touch Samsung Pay and then Credit/debit cards. Finally, touch OK under Verify card.

Select one of the following options to verify your card:

  • SMS: A verification code will be sent to your phone. The code will automatically be entered and the verification process will be complete. If the phone number associated with the payment card doesn't belong to the phone you are using with the watch, enter the code, and then touch SUBMIT to complete verification.
  • EMAIL: A verification code will be sent to your email address. Enter the code and then touch SUBMIT to complete verification.
  • CALL BANK: The phone number for your payment card will automatically be entered into your phone. Touch Call to call your bank to complete verification.

Once verification is complete, touch DONE. Follow the on-screen prompts to learn how to make payments on your watch.

Remove a Card using Your WatchClick to Expand

On your watch, press and hold the Back key to open Samsung Pay. Enter your four-digit PIN to verify your identity. Touch More Options and then touch Delete.

If you added multiple cards, rotate the bezel to the card you want to delete. Touch the minus icon to remove the card and then touch the Done to confirm the deletion.

On your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app, touch the SETTINGS tab, swipe to and touch Samsung Pay, and then touch Credit/debit cards.

f you added multiple cards, swipe left or right on the card image to the card you want to delete, and then swipe up from the middle of the screen. Touch DELETE and then touch DELETE to remove the card and related transactions. Enter your Samsung account password and then touch CONFIRM to complete deletion.

Import cards from Samsung Pay to Galaxy WearableClick to Expand

Payment cards added to Samsung Pay on your phone do not automatically transfer to Samsung Pay for your watch. While you can use the same payment card on both devices, they must be verified separately. Each device uses a separate digital wallet, with separate digital cards, and any purchases made will only be identified on the device they are made with. To add a payment card to Samsung Pay on Galaxy Wearable, on your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app, touch the SETTINGS tab, and then swipe to and touch Samsung Pay. Touch ADD on the upper right of the screen, and then touch Import cards.

Touch ACTIVATE CARD. Enter your card information, and then touch NEXT. Review "TERMS OF SERVICE", and then touch AGREE TO ALL. Select one of the following options to verify your card. Once verification is complete, touch DONE. Follow the on-screen prompts to learn how to make payments on your watch.

Even if the payment card has been activated already, the card must be activated during the import process.
