How do I change the volume settings and notification sounds on my Galaxy Tab S3?

Sound


Set notification sounds for apps such as Messages, Calendar, and Email. You can also set the System volume level and set default volume for notifications and other audio by following the steps below.

Note: The provided information refers to the devices sold in Canada. Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Adjust volume level


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps Appli.

2. Touch Settings Parametres.

3. Touch Sounds and vibration.

4. Touch Volume.

5. Touch and drag the sliders to set the default volume for:

Notifications: Adjust volume levels for notification alerts, such as new messages, reminders, and e-mail.

Media: Adjust volume levels for music, video, and other media.

System: Adjust volume levels for system sounds, such as touch sounds, screen lock sounds, and keyboard sounds.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps Appli.

2. Touch Settings Parametres.

3. Touch Sounds and vibration.

4. Touch Notification sounds.

5. Select the notification sound you want to change. For this example, touch Default notification sound.

6. Swipe up or down to display all available notification sounds. Choose the desired notification sound. Once you made a final decision, touch the Back icon or key to validate your new setting.

Note: If you don’t touch the Back icon or key, the new setting will not be saved.
