Galaxy Tab E LTE - Insert a microSD Card or Remove it (SM-T377W)

Last Update Date : Mar 15. 2019

MicroSD card

Your device lets you use a microSD, microSDHC, or microSDXC card with maximum capacity of 128 GB to expand memory space. This secure digital card lets you exchange pictures, music, and data with microSD compatible devices. Depending on the memory card manufacturer and type, some memory cards may not be compatible with your device.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Insert a microSD Card

1. Open the cover of the memory card slot (located on the top left side of your tablet when you look at its screen).

5. Open the cover of the memory card slot.

6. Push the memory card until it disengages from the device, and then pull it out.

7. Close the cover of the memory card slot.

Note: Do not remove the memory card while the device is transferring or accessing information. Doing so can cause data to be lost or corrupted or damage to the memory card or device. Samsung is not responsible for losses that result from the misuse of damaged memory cards, including the loss of data.

Format a microSD Card

Important: The device supports the FAT and the exFAT file systems for memory cards. When inserting a card formatted in a different file system, the device asks to reformat the memory card.

To format a SD card means to prepare the drive to be used by the operating system (running your tablet) by deleting all of the data and setting up a file system. A memory card formatted on a computer may not be compatible with the device. So it might be useful to format the memory card just after inserting it into the device.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps .

2. Touch Settings .

3. Scroll to and touch Storage .

4. Touch SD card.
