How do I transfer files from my Galaxy Note8 to a MicroSD card?
Feel like your phone is getting a little crowded? You can transfer files to a microSD card to free up space and make sure you save what you need. You really can have it both ways.
Note: Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.
Move Files to a MicroSD Card
Note: This function is not supported if the microSD card is not inserted in your phone.
Keep your files while saving room on your phone by transferring files to a microSD card. Follow the steps below to move your files and documents:
1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch the Samsung folder.
4. Touch My Files.
5. Navigate to the file you want to move. Touch and hold the file to select it.
6. Touch the More options icon. Touch Move or, to copy and paste, touch Copy.
7. Touch SD card.
8. Navigate to the location you want to save your files.
9. Touch DONE.
Note: Using your MicroSD, you can transfer files to a computer. Don’t forget to unmount the SD card before removing it from your mobile phone. Plug the memory card into your computer and you will have access to the files stored on it.
