How do I turn on Edge lighting and configure Quick reply on my Galaxy S6 edge+?

Edge Screen

The Edge screen provides a variety of useful tools for notifications, information feeds, and timekeeping.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Turn On Edge Lighting

Edge lighting illuminates the Edge screen when a notification is received. If People edge is also on, the color of the indicator will be that assigned to the contact who is calling or messaging.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1.

2. Touch Settings 1.

3. Scroll to and touch Edge screen 1 under the Device tab.


4. Touch Edge lighting.


5. Touch the slider 1 to turn the Edge lighting on 1. Once Edge lighting is turned on, Quick reply will be enabled.


Quick Reply

Quick reply allows you to reject an incoming phone call with a text message by placing your finger on the heart rate sensor for two seconds. The call is rejected, and a preset message is sent to the caller.

Once Edge lighting is turned on, touch Quick Reply. Turn on or off Quicky Reply and edit your quick reply message if desired.
