Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.
When you receive text and multimedia messages, you can have them go to either Messages or to Google+™ Hangouts™ . If you set your default messaging application as Google+ Hangouts, text and multimedia messages will be merged with your Hangouts messages.
Choose a Messaging Application
1. From the Home screen, touch Apps .
2. Touch Settings .
3. Touch More networks .
4. Touch Default messaging app.
5. Choose Messages or Hangouts.
6. If you choose Hangouts, touch OK to confirm the switch.
