Default Messaging App


Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

When you receive text and multimedia messages, you can have them go to either Messages 1 or to Google+™ Hangouts™ 1 . If you set your default messaging application as Google+ Hangouts, text and multimedia messages will be merged with your Hangouts messages.

Choose a Messaging Application


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1 .

2. Touch Settings 1 .

3. Touch More networks 1 .

4. Touch Default messaging app.

5. Choose Messages or Hangouts.

6. If you choose Hangouts, touch OK to confirm the switch.
