Pie update - Screenshot the Entire Web Page with Smart Capture (SM-G960W, SM-G965W & SM-N960W)
Smart capture lets you capture parts of the screen that are hidden from view. It can automatically scroll down the page or image, and screenshot the parts that would normally be missing. Smart capture will combine all the screenshots into one image. You can also crop and share the screenshot immediately.
Information provided applies to devices sold in Canada and updated with Android 9.0 Pie. Available screens and settings may vary for smartphones sold in other countries.
With Smart capture, you can get what's out of sight. Just follow these simple steps.
From Settings, search for and select Smart capture. Then touch the slider to turn on Smart capture.
Sometimes one screenshot won't cut it when you need to capture an entire web page or important document. Here's how to use Scroll capture to get the entire thing.
Navigate to the screen you want to capture. To take the screenshot, press the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously. When the Smart capture menu appears, touch the Scroll capture icon - it looks like a downward arrow, and it will bounce up and down. Then, touch it a second time to begin the scroll capture process. Keep hitting the Scroll capture icon until it reaches the bottom of the page or your desired spot. A preview of the combined screenshot will appear on the left side.
When you are done, simply touch outside of the Smart capture menu bar. To view the captured screen, touch the screenshot preview or navigate to Gallery.
The smart capture icon will not appear unless you are on a large web page, app screen, or image that requires scrolling. It may not work on certain websites.
That's not all Smart capture can do. You can also try the other customization options like Draw, Crop, and Share.
Navigate to the screen you want to capture. To take the screenshot, press the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously. When the Smart capture menu appears, the following other options will be available:
