Galaxy Note9 - Turn Your Gallery Photos Into Art with PENUP (SM-N960W)

Your phone is filled with pictures that inspire you to draw. But sometimes, transferring photos from a screen onto paper is difficult. That won’t be a problem with your Galaxy Note9. You can take photos from your Gallery and trace right over them with your S Pen in the PENUP app. Looks like you’re going digital.

Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Trace Over Photos

You have a photo of a beautiful landscape saved on your phone and want to change it into your next masterpiece. Follow the steps below, so you can trace over it directly on your phone’s screen.

Open the Air Command menu using your S Pen and touch PENUP. Touch Add in the lower right corner and then touch Drawing. Touch the Photo icon in the lower left corner and then touch Select from Gallery. Select a picture you would like to draw over. Choose your desired settings for the photo in PENUP and then touch SAVE

Trace Over Photos

Now you can draw, color, or trace over the photo! When you’re done, touch the Hide background image icon on the bottom of the page to see your drawing without the photo. If you want to save the drawing like this, touch SAVE while the image is still hidden.

Touch the Show background image icon to make the photo return and touch SAVE if you want the photo saved in the background. Whether you keep the background image or not, your drawing will be saved in Gallery, where you can view it later.
