Galaxy Note8 - Allow Installation of Apps from Unknown Sources on Your Device (SM-N950W)
Enabling Unkown sources allows your phone to install apps from sources other than the Play Store or Galaxy Apps.
Important: Do not download unknown apps as it makes your smartphone more vulnerable to malware and viruses. Samsung is not liable for any issue caused by any app downloaded from any unknown source. This is a recommendation but final decision is yours.
Note: Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.
Enable Unknown Sources
1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Lock screen and security.
4. Scroll to Unknown sources. To activate the function, touch the slider.
5. Review the information on Unknown sources and then touch OK.
