Where are my photos and videos stored on my Samsung Note?

Photo and Video Storage

NOTE: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

By default, your captured pictures and videos are stored on your device's internal memory. If you have installed a microSD™ card, your device will ask if you would like to change the storage location to the microSD card the next time you open the Camera application.

Change the Default Save Location

1 From the Home screen, touch Apps.
2 Touch Camera.
3 Touch to access the camera settings.
4 Touch for more options.
5 Scroll to and touch Storage location.
6 Select either Device or Memory card.
Where are my photos and videos stored on my Samsung Note?, and can I move them?

NOTE: Burst shot pictures and pictures taken using certain downloaded camera modes will be saved to the device regardless of the Storage location setting.

Move Files

You can save room on your device by moving pictures, videos, and other files to your microSD card or to the My Files application. 

 

Move Pictures in the Gallery

1 From the Home screen, touch Apps > Gallery.
2 Touch and select Album.
3 Open the album containing the pictures you want to move.
4 Touch More options > Select and mark the checkboxes for the pictures you want to move.
5 Touch More options > Move to album and choose a folder on your device or microSD card . Touch Create album to move the selected files to a new folder or album.

Move Pictures in My Files

1 From the Home screen, touch Apps
2 Touch My Files and then touch Device storage or SD™ card.
3 Open the folder containing the pictures you want to move. The following table directs you to the folder where your media is stored:

7 Select a folder, or touch Create folder to make a new folder for the files.
