DVD Picture Is Not Clear, Is Displaying A Split Screen Or Color Is Distorted.
Chances are that the player is in Progressive Scan Mode and either your Television is not compatible with progressive scan or not connected properly to accept a progressive signal.
This problem can be easily corrected by pressing the "Progressive" button on the front panel of the DVD Player until the picture is correct.
When the power has been interrupted, or the DVD Player is set up for the first time, the default settings are restored. The default "progressive" is set. If you try to watch the DVD without knowing this, you will see a black and white noisy picture or a split screen.
(If you are not using a progressive scan DVD Player, it's possible that you have the Component Out Connection on the DVD Player connected to the Standard Analog In on your television. To correct this, you must only connect the same video signal from the DVD Player to the Television. Ex. Component to Component, S-Video to S-Video, Analog to Analog)
