Samsung TV - Bluetooth Compatibility and Troubleshooting
The days of climbing behind your TV to connect speakers are gone. With your Samsung TV, you can wirelessly connect speakers and other devices through Bluetooth. You won’t even have to get off the coach- that is, if your remote or phone haven’t gone missing.
The provided information refers to TVs sold in Canada. The available settings and options may differ for devices sold in other countries.
Your TV is your center for entertainment, but you can make it even better by connecting Bluetooth devices. On some QLED, 4K, UHD, and SUHD TV models, you can connect the following devices:
- Bluetooth headphones.
- Bluetooth speakers and soundbars.
- Bluetooth keyboards and gamepads.
Now you can watch that horror movie with the new surround sound system you bought, or you can use headphones if your roommate is a scaredy cat.
Navigate to Settings using the directional pad on your remote, and then select Sound. Next, select Sound Output, and select Speaker List or Bluetooth Audio, depending on your TV model. Select the Bluetooth audio device that you would like to connect to your TV.
Make sure your other device is on and is in pairing mode. If needed, check the device’s manual. Select Pair and connect, and then wait for your device to connect. When the devices are done pairing, select OK.
If your TV has Connection Guide as an option, navigate to Sources > Connection Guide. Select the device type you would like to pair and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it wirelessly.
Do you hate having to search for movies on Netflix because you need to select the letters one by one? If so, you can make things easier by connecting a Bluetooth keyboard or gamepad.
Navigate to Settings using the directional pad on your remote, and then select System. Next, select Input Device Manager, and then select Add Bluetooth Keyboard & Gamepad.
Select the Bluetooth keyboard or gamepad that you would like to connect to your TV. Make sure your other device is on and is in pairing mode. If needed, check the device’s manual.
Select Pair and connect, and then wait for your device to connect. When the devices are done pairing, select OK. After this, your Bluetooth Device will now be connected to your TV.
If your TV has Connection Guide as an option, navigate to Sources > Connection Guide. Select the device type you would like to pair and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it wirelessly. Keyboard and gamepads will fall under Accessories.
• Make sure the device is compatible with Bluetooth.

• Make sure the device is in pairing mode when you select Pair and connect.
• Turn the TV and the device on and off.
• If battery powered, make sure the device is fully charged.
• Do not place the device too far away from the TV.
• Check that the device is not paired with another TV or device.
• If needed, unpair the device from the other TV or device.
• Consult the device’s manual if all else fails.
