How fast is 5G?

5G is a new data standard that will surpass the speeds of 4G LTE, with a hyper-fast, low latency connection. Theoretically, at its maximum fastest speed, 5G will be around 100 times faster than current 4G speeds, allowing you to download, upload, and stream at incredible speeds without being connected to Wi-Fi. It also will reduce latency, for improved responsiveness and less lag when you're connected.

Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra all offer 5G connection capabilities on their 5G models, allowing you to connect to a 5G network and harness the HyperFast speeds. Mobile carriers around the world are rolling out 5G connections, so as long as you have a 5G compatible phone, you'll soon be able to take advantage of a next generation network.
