External training programs & Corporate university and graduate school

All our employees, including contract employees, can participate in diverse external training programs. We offer academic research opportunities, professional training, and support for MBA/EMBA programs in collaboration with universities within and outside South Korea. The Samsung Institute of Technology (SSIT), which was launched as an in-house semiconductor technology school in 1989 with the aim of enhancing the technological capabilities of frontline workers, became the first in-house university to be officially acknowledged as a formal university in 2001. At SSIT, we offer regular bachelor's degree programs in semiconductor and display fields, including process/facility and infrastructure, taught by a distinguished faculty composed of external academic experts and internal employees.

In addition, we opened the Semiconductor Display Engineering Department and DMC (Digital Media Communication) Engineering Department at Sungkyunkwan University, which together function as our in-house graduate school, to cultivate future technology leaders. As of February 2025, we have nurtured 1,188 bachelor's, 942 master's, and 107 doctorate degree holders through SSIT and our in-house graduate school.
