With the aim of equipping our employees, suppliers, and local community members with the skills needed in the future workforce facing the digital transformation, we offer a comprehensive training structure encompassing digital and IT programs.
We are advancing the AI skills of our workforce through a comprehensive, company-wide AI training system.
To maximize the potential of AI technology, Samsung Electronics offers a variety of training programs tailored to the unique features of each product. This includes AI specialist training for software developers, called the AI for S/W Engineer Program, designed to enhance their proficiency in in-device implementation and foster the development of globally recognized AI experts in AI foundation model technology. For designers, we offer the Design AI Advanced/Expert Program, which aims to lead innovation in the design implementation process while simultaneously enhancing creativity and AI application capabilities.
We also offer the GenAI PowerUser Program to all employees, encompassing instructions on the use of generative AI techniques like prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and chatbot development. These initiatives aim to equip our workforce for future AI-based tasks and productivity advancements.
Samsung Electronics delivers theoretical knowledge, case studies, and practical training at four different levels for data analysis and utilization.
Level 1, the basic course, helps employees stay up to date with recent innovations in data. Levels 2 and 3, the practical courses, equip employees with skills they can utilize in data-based work tasks and decision-making processes, including data collection, processing, and analysis.
In addition, at Level 4, the highest level, we provide training and certification systems to help employees develop into data science specialists. These individuals deploy optimal data analysis models and offer data analysis consultations, leveraging their wide-ranging data analysis experiences.
Big Data training is offered by the Partner Collaboration Academy. The Big Data course was established in 2023, with new subjects including “Analyzing Big Data without Coding” and “Easy-to-Learn Basic Big Data Analysis” combined with Python, R, and other existing software subjects, to more effectively drive data capacity-building for our suppliers’ employees.
We place a premium on capacity-building programs for youth among our CSR activities. The Samsung SW·AI academy For Youth (Korea) and Samsung Innovation Campus (global) are designed to help the young generations grow into future leaders equipped with technical skills, including coding, programming, Big Data, AI, IoT, as well as soft skills.
