Samsung Electronics is participating in the SSTS(Sustainable Semiconductor Technologies and Systems) program run by IMEC(Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre), Europe’s largest integrated semiconductor research institute. This program seeks to develop sustainable solutions throughout the semiconductor industry’s value chain. IMEC uses feedback from partner companies to create a simulation that calculates carbon emissions and then develops technologies and systems to reduce environmental impacts.
