Relumino Mode
  • Outlines objects, enhances contrast, and adjusts brightness and color to highlight content
Audio Subtitles*
  • Identifies and reads video captions out loud using AI, enhanced in 2025 to lower foreign language dialogue volume and keep background sound

SeeColors Mode
  • Selects a color filter that displays screen content more clearly

  • Reads aloud text as well as image and other content descriptions on mobile and wearable devices

Display Mode

  • High contrast mode: Activates dark mode, high contrast fonts, high contrast keyboard and reduces animations, transparency and blur
  • Large display mode: Enlarges the text and screen, emboldens text, and highlights buttons

  • Provides a range of accessibility functions, including Voice Guide, enhanced visibility (grayscale/negative color), and text size enlargement

SmartThings TalkBack
  • TalkBack: Developed and verified by experts with visual impairments, SmartThings TalkBack enables users with low vision to access and experience content via mobile devices by reading aloud text on home appliances
  • Family Hub™ refrigerators released from 2024 onward feature built-in screen readers for direct explanations without the need for an app

Braille and Tactile Points
  • Braille and tactile points are applied to the major buttons to enable users with low vision to locate them with ease. This feature has been available on washing machine models starting in 2019 and other home appliances as of 2021.

Initial Setup for Users with Visual Disabilities
  • A voice guide feature during the initial setup of AI Home Screen appliances, allowing users with visual disabilities to independently set up their devices
