Galaxy Z Flip8

In July 2026, Samsung Electronics launched
the Galaxy Z Flip8, combining a flexible Flip form factor with AI capabilities. Alongside its slim and distinctive design, the Galaxy Z Flip8 incorporates a variety of recycled materials, including newly added recycled tungsten. Consistent with previous models, Samsung provides seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the launch date.

    The Galaxy Z Flip8 contains more than 14.6% recycled materials, including newly been introduced recycled tungsten.

    • Plastic: Plastic in the front case contains 10% recycled plastic.
    • Aluminum: Aluminum in the camera case contains 30% recycled aluminum.
    • Glass: The Flex window contains an average of 25% recycled glass.
    • Rare Earth Elements: Magnets in the speakers and in certain internal components are made of 100% recycled rare earth elements.
    • Steel: Steel in the speaker modules contains at least 40% recycled steel.
    • Copper: Copper foil of main logic boards contains 100% recycled copper.
    • Gold: Bonding wire in the ultra wide camera module contains 100% recycled gold.
    • Cobalt: Cobalt in the batteries is 100% recycled cobalt.
    • Lithium: Lithium in the batteries’ cathode is 100% recycled lithium.
    • Tantalum: Tantalum in certain capacitors contains 15% recycled tantalum.
    • Tungsten: Tungsten in linear motor contains 100% recycled tungsten.
  • Packaging
    • The packaging box is made of 100% recycled paper1) material.
  • Software Updates2)
    • The Galaxy Z Flip8 support seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the initial global launch date.
  • 100% recycled paper was applied to the product package unit box, excluding the internal pulp tray, cover protector, sealing label and shrink vinyl.
