Galaxy S26 Series

In February 2026, Samsung Electronics announced the new Galaxy S26 Series. It features a customized processor, and the world's first built-in Privacy Display* on a smartphone, all optimized for enhancing mobile AI experience. Continuing our use of various recycled materials, the series offers seven generations of OS upgrades from the global launch date.

  • Recycled Materials

    The Galaxy S26 Series contains at least 21.2% (S26), 17.8% (S26+), and 17.7% (S26 Ultra) recycled materials. Recycled tantalum has newly been applied as part of our continued effort to use a wider range of recycled materials in our products.

     
    • Plastic: 10% recycled content used in the front case
    • Aluminum: 20% recycled content used for Armor Aluminum in the front case (S26, S26+) and 30% in the camera module case (S26 Ultra)
    • Glass: Minimum 10% recycled content used in the back and front glass (S26+, S26 Ultra) and an average of 25% (S26)
    • Rare Earth Elements: 100% recycled content used in the speaker magnets.
    • Steel: Minimum 40% recycled content used in select parts of the speaker modules
    • Copper: 100% recycled content used in the PCB (Printed Circuit Boards)
    • Gold: 100% recycled content used for the bonding wires in the front camera modules
    • Cobalt: 100% recycled content used in the batteries (S26, S26 Ultra) and 50% (S26+)
    • Lithium: 100% recycled content used in the battery cathodes (S26, S26 Ultra)
    • Tantalum: 15% recycled content used in select capacitors
  • Packaging

    Paper used for the packaging box is 100% recycled paper1).

  • Software Updates2)
    • Galaxy S26 series supports seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the initial global launch date.
  1. 100% recycled paper was applied to the product package unit box, excluding the internal pulp tray, cover protector, sealing label and shrink vinyl. The paper used in the packaging box has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as 100% recycled.
  2. The timing of OS upgrades and security updates may vary by device model, network provider, and market.
