Software Update Brings Powerful Galaxy Note10 Features to the Galaxy S10 Flagship Series

Hong Kong – October 8, 2019 – Samsung Electronics H.K. Co. Ltd. announced today the release of software update with powerful features for Galaxy S10 in Hong Kong, aiming to help users unleash their creativity and productivity and to provide a more comprehensive mobile experience. Samsung is introducing bar-raising innovations of Galaxy Note10 to Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10+ to support users better at work and in life and create a comfortable and convenient experience. They include advanced camera mode, simplified applications and other powerful tools to raise productivity. Galaxy S10 users will be notified of the update today.

Advanced camera features create brand new mobile photography experience

Once Galaxy S10 users update their device, they will find the pro-grade camera even more powerful. The update expands the camera’s Night Mode to include support for the front-facing camera, setting users free from interference and allowing them to snap more vivid and sophisticated shots after dark. Live focus video recording also now supports brand new depth-adjustment features, including bokeh effects, so that users can capture more focused portraits. Besides, AR Doodle, a Galaxy Note10 feature, will now allow users to generate stylish pictures with augmented-reality drawings and record more of their creative inspirations. 

With the enhanced Super Steady video stabilization, users can capture smooth and quality videos even when they are running, cycling or skateboarding. Even videos shot under time-lapse mode will display high level of stability. After capturing a memorable clip, users can now also edit the video on their phone directly and immediately thanks to Video Editor, which supports editing of multiple videos, adjustment of playback speed, installation of transition effects, subtitling and more.

Powerful functions enhance workplace productivity

Galaxy S10 users will now be able to work with both their smartphone and PC or Mac with great ease. Once they download the app from, they can connect their Galaxy S10 to their computer via USB cable and enjoy seamless control of the virtual desktop or their phone. As they leverage such operation likened to a desktop computer, their productivity can be rapidly enhanced. In addition, Link to Windows has also been added, which means that Galaxy S10 users will be able to wirelessly connect their phone to their Windows 10 PC and easily view its contents, send and receive messages, and sync their recent photos directly from their computer. 

Refining Samsung Galaxy experience

Applications that Galaxy S10 users rely on daily, including Samsung Pass and Messages, have also become more convenient. With the simplified Samsung Pass, users can now utilize their device’s advanced biometric technologies to log in to applications and websites quickly and securely. In the Messages app, new icons for adding photos and videos are now positioned to the left of the text window to offer users easy access to the files they need.
