How are Maximum and Normal Battery Usage time, and Video Play Time Measured?

The procedure of the battery lifetime measurement

1 Maximum Usage time (MobileMark07)

Maximum Usage time is that uses a battery as a maximum by applying the energy conservation function actively.
 
It was measured by the Productivity scenario condition of Benchmark Software MobileMark2007 at 1st production.
 
- MobileMark2007 scenario: Idle 50%, Office Work 50% (Adobe Flash/Photoshop/Illustrator, Excel, Word, PPT, Project, Outlook)
 
- Measurement condition: The balance control of power option, LCD Brightness 60nits, Wi-Fi AP not connected, Battery fully discharged, Battery saving mode (Windows 10)

2 Normal Usage time (MobileMark14)

Normal Usage time is that uses general in the working environment of which Internet is possible. It is 70~75 % level of the Maximum Usage time. It was measured by the Productivity scenario condition of Benchmark Software MobileMark2014 at 1st production.
 
- MobileMark2014 scenario: Idle 46%, Web Browsing 23% (Chrome), Office Work 31% (Office, Outlook, OneNote)
 
- Measurement condition: Power option MobileMark14, LCD Brightness 150nits, Wi-Fi AP Connected, Battery fully discharged, Not use Battery saving mode

3 Video Play Time

Video Play Time is that consecutively regenerating 720p video files, It is 55~65 % level of the Maximum Usage time.
 
It was measured by Windows Player XBOX Player.
 
- Video Player: MS Windows bundled (Windows 8.1 - XBOX Player, Windows 10 - Movies & TV)
 
- Measurement condition: Power option Samsung optimum mode, LCD brightness 150nits, Wi-Fi AP not connected, Battery fully discharged, Battery saving mode (Windows 10)

The battery lifetime is changed according to the product settings way and use.
The usage time and actual result can depend on the specification of product and constituent, user environment, network connection condition, battery condition and use period, and etc.
If users make lower LCD brightness in which an effect is big in the usage time or convert to the power saving mode when don’t use PC, users can use a battery longer.
