  • 1-Year Samsung Care+ Protection Terms and Conditions

    A. COVERAGE
    The Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance Co. (HK) Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Tokio Marine) will repair or replace Covered Property that has incurred direct physical loss or direct physical damage caused by or resulting from any covered cause of loss during coverage period.

    1. Covered Property
    An accidental Inner screen damage coverage of Samsung Galaxy Fold2 5G Standard Version or Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Thom Browne Edition. Customer just visit a Samsung Electronics HK Company Limited authorized repair centre and pay the service fee to enjoy the service.

    2. Maximum Indemnity Limit and Service Fee
    Maximum Indemnity Limit for Replacement Cost of Inner Screen upto HK$4,530 subject to HK$1,200 service fee

    3. Coverage Period
    Tokio Marine cover “One time” replacement of accidental Inner screen damage of Samsung Galaxy Fold2 5G Standard Version or Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Thom Browne Edition for a length of 12 months from the date of purchase.

    4. Coverage Territory
    Tokio Marine protects the Covered Property wherever it is located in Hong Kong SAR

    B. MAJOR EXCLUSIONS
    1. We will not replace Inner Screen due to cosmetic damage, however caused, that does not affect the manufacturer’s intended use of Samsung Galaxy Fold2 5G Standard Version or Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Thom Browne Edition.
    This includes, but is not limited to:
    i) Cracking, marring, scratching or warping
    ii) Change in color or other change in the exterior finish
    iii) Water(Liquid) damage

    2. This Insurance does not cover loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by any of the following:

    a . Nuclear Hazard
    Nuclear reaction or radiation, or radioactive contamination, however caused. If physical loss or damage by fire ensues, we will pay only for such ensuing loss or damage.

    b . War
    (i) War including undeclared or civil war;
    (ii) Warlike action by a military force; or
    (iii) Insurrection, rebellion, revolution, usurped power or action taken by governmental authority in hindering or defending against any of these.

    c. Strike, lock-out, riot, civil commotion or terrorist attacks

    d . Dishonest, Intentional, or Criminal Acts
    Dishonest, intentional or criminal acts by individual subscribers or by any person entrusted with Covered Property, whether acting alone or in collusion with others, with respect to his or her coverage
    e . Wear, Deterioration, Latent Defect
    (i) Wear and tear, deterioration; or
    (ii) Hidden or latent defect, including equipment design defect, or any quality in the property that causes it to damage or destroy itself.

    f. Willful Acts
    Willful act on the part of the individual subscribers or one of his r epresentatives

    C. YOUR DUTIES IN EVENT OF LOSS
    In the event of loss or damage to Covered Property, the Customer and his or her designee requesting the repairing service must cooperate with us and see that the following are done;
    1. Notify Authorized Repair Center
    Upon discovery of loss, notify the Authorized Repair Center within 14 Days subject to 12 months protection from the date of purchase

    (a) How, when and where the loss or damage occurred.
    ( b ) The individual subscribers must provide relevant information and records, such as a purchase invoice as requested.

    2 . Protect
    Take all reasonable steps to protect the Covered Property from further damage.

    D. OUR DUTY IN EVENT OF LOSS
    Claim Authorization and Loss Payment
    If an accidental inner screen damage claims is made, Tokio Marine will make loss payment to the Samsung Electronics H.K. Company Limited directly I f you have any question, please contact Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance Co. (HK) Ltd. in email address of samsung@tokiomarine.com.hk directly. This cover is automatically provided to your Samsung Galaxy Fold2 5G Standard Version or Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Thom Browne Edition by Tokio Marine. Under no circumstance shall Samsung Electronics Hong Kong Company Limited or its affiliates, or any of their employees, agents, service providers, suppliers, sub-contractors, directors, officers or shareholders be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of business, caused by the failure of the Product, loss of use of the Product or the repair, faulty repair or replacement of the Product, even if such loss or damage are attributable to or caused by the fault or negligence of Samsung Electronics H.K. Company Limited or its affiliates or any of their employees, agents, service providers, suppliers or subcontractors.

    Should there be any discrepancy between the English and Chinese version of this document, the English shall be prevail. Please refer to the Policy Specimen for complete details and a Specimen Policy can be made available on request.
  • What is Accidental Inner Screen Damage Coverage?

    Accidental Inner Screen Damage Coverage is an insurance protection offered by Samsung Electronics Hong Kong Limited (hereinafter referred to as Samsung HK) to its customers. And The Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited (hereinafter referred to as the Tokio Marine) as underwriter.

    As long as Inner Screen of your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Standard Version or Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Thom Browne Edition was physical damaged due to accident, you can enjoy Inner screen replacement in Samsung HK authorised repair centre for service by just paying service fee during insurance period. (accident refers to the unforeseeable and unintentional damage to inner screen).
  • Coverage Period?

    The effective date of this coverage is 12 months from the date of purchases. Please visit Samsung HK authorised repair center for inner screen replacement service of your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Standard Version or Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Thom Browne Edition not later than 14 days after accident occurred and within 12 months coverage period, overdue will not be dealt with.
  • Major Exclusion?

    Nuclear hazards, war, riots, strikes, civil commotion, terrorism, deliberate acts, dishonesty and natural wear & tear.
