FAQ: Using Google Play applications

Q: Can I use any applications from Google Play with Samsung Apps?

A: If you are a Android smartphone user, you can access information about the applications registered at Samsung Apps as well as at other Android application stores such as Google Play. Applications registered at Samsung Apps can be downloaded and installed at the same time. An update to Samsung Apps is scheduled in the future to support additional functions, including the ability to search for Google Play applications from other Android devices.


Q: Can I find all the applications offered by Google Play using Samsung Apps?
A: Samsung Apps only provides access to the most popular Google Play applications.


Q: If I downloaded an application after accessing Google Play from Samsung Apps, can I find the purchase history using Samsung Apps?

A: Google Play applications are downloaded from Google Play and therefore the purchase history does not appear in Samsung Apps.


Q: How can I use Google Play applications via Samsung Apps?
A: Google Play applications can be viewed from the application details page. The Google Play logo is located next to the price button for each product, clicking it will take you to the Google Play Store.



Q: Can I use Google Play applications on the website or via Kies?

A: Google Play Applications can be used only via Samsung Apps on your device.
Google applications cannot be used on the website or via Kies, and therefore the applications available on the website and via Kies may differ from the applications on your device.


 

Q: Google Play applications cannot be added to your wish list.

A: Google Play applications cannot be added to your Samsung Apps wish list.


Q: I would like to delete an item from my Google Play purchase history.
A: Samsung Apps does not store the purchase history of applications downloaded from Google Play.
You need to access Google Play to delete items from your Google Play purchase history.


Q: I would like to ask for a refund for an application I purchased from Google Play.
A: Samsung Apps cannot process refunds for applications purchased from Google Play.
Access Google Play to ask for a refund according to the store policy.


Q: I would like to report an error about an application in Google Play.
A: Samsung Apps cannot process error reports for applications purchased from Google Play.
Access Google Play to report an error according to the store policy.


Q: The same application has a different price in Samsung Apps and Google Play.
A: Samsung Apps and Google Play use a different method to calculate the exchange rate.
Application prices vary depending on the exchange rate on a daily and hourly basis, which means that Samsung Apps and Google Play may show a different price for the same application.

 

 

Q: The same application has different information on Samsung Apps and Google Play.
A: Application information, including descriptions and screenshots, is synchronized between Samsung Apps and Google Play on Samsung Apps on a regular basis, however, the latest information may not yet have been applied.
Therefore, the information from Google Play is the most recent and the information on Samsung Apps will be updated shortly through a regular update.


Q: I do not wish to access Google Play from Samsung Apps.
A: Google Play applications can only be viewed from the application details page.
You can click the Google Play button next to the price button for each product to access the Google Play Store.
Therefore, do not click the button if you do not wish to access Google Play.


Q: I cannot find an application I want from the Google Play applications offered.
A: Samsung Apps offers links to the most popular applications from Google Play.
Therefore, not every Google Play application can be found in Samsung Apps.

 

 

Q: Can I share application information with my friends on SNS?
A: Yes, you can share information from applications with various services installed on your device, including [Facebook] and [Twitter]. Click the [Share] icon located below the main image on the application details page.
