I have a 3G device but it seems only connect to 2G (G or E), what should I do?

Please go to Settings > More settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Mode 

 

In the Network Mode, please select “Auto Mode”. This allows the phone to switch between 2G, 3G and 4G (if the device is 4G).

 

(screen layout and content might differ between software releases and models).
