Installation

When deciding where to place your Family Hub, you should take into consideration the following recommendations:

  • Solid, level surface without carpet or flooring that could obstruct ventilation
  • Away from direct sunlight
  • Adequate room to open and close the door
  • Away from any heat sources such as radiators and ovens
  • Room for service and maintenance
  • An ambient temperature range that is between 5 - 43°C

To keep your refrigerator running effectively, it is recommended to leave at least 50mm of space between the back of the refrigerator and any other surface.

If your refrigerator does not sit level, you can adjust the levelling feet. This will ensure that your food items do not move in the refrigerator and that the doors automatically shut. All you need to level your refrigerator is a flat-head screwdriver.

Please note: your refrigerator should be levelled on a flat, solid floor. Levelling should ony be done while the refrigerator is empty

Adjusting the height of the fridge

1 Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the leveller on the side of the fridge you want to adjust

The warranty for your refrigerator does not cover the water line installation and Samsung takes no responsibility for incorrect installations. The water line should only be connected by a qualified technician. If you encounter a water leak, please contact your local Samsung service centre or the installer of the water line.

Once your refrigerator has been placed in an appropriate area, set up and connected to a water line, complete the following steps.

  1. Plug the power cord into a power socket
  2. Open the door to check that the interior lights light up
  3. Set the temperature to the lowest option and wait for an hour. The freezer will now be slightly chilled and the motor will be running smoothly
  4. Adjust the temperature to your preference and wait until the refrigerator reaches that temperature

You should now perform a final check on your refrigerator to ensure that everything has been installed correctly. Check that:

  • the refrigerator is plugged into a power socket and is grounded correctly
  • the refrigerator is installed on a flat, level surface and has appropriate clearance
  • the refrigerator is level and is sitting firmly on the floor
  • the door opens and closes freely and the interior light turns on automatically when the door is opened

2 Sign out, then in to your Samsung account
