How do I use Wi-Fi on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4?

Turning Wi-Fi On and Off

Open the Quick Panel by swiping two fingers slightly apart from the top of the screen to the bottom. You will see the Wi-Fi icon at the top of the panel. You can touch the icon to turn Wi-Fi on or off. When Wi-Fi is on it will scan for and connect to any previously connected access points, commonly known as the network.

Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

From the Home screen touch Apps > Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.

Touch the slider to turn Wi-Fi to the ON position.

Available networks will display under WI-FI NETWORKS. Touch the network to which you want to connect.

Enter a wireless password, if necessary, and touch Connect.

Manually Add Your New Network Connection

Touch Add Wi-Fi network.

Enter the Network SSID. (This is the name of the network you are connecting to.)

Select the Security level of the network. If you select a security level that does not match your access point you will not be able to connect.

If the access point is secured you will also need to enter the password.

Touch Connect to store the new information and connect to the network.

Wi-Fi Status Indicator

You can check your Wi-Fi connection status at a glance by checking for the icon below in the status bar of your tablet.
