Galaxy Tabs help Suryoday Bank extend its digital outreach

Suryoday Small Finance Bank is a new age bank that commenced its operations on January 23, 2017. Their endeavour is to bring best solutions to the banking sector in India.

Challenges


Suryoday Bank’s main vision is to cater to the huge sector of under-banked and unbanked population in India. But with limited number of field executives, extensive paper work, and manual process for opening accounts and loan collection, the operation was slow and tedious. Also, as the bank is in its growing phase and has few branches, it sends its team of executives in the field with tablets to curb the paperwork. But the chances of these tablets getting misused for work other than banking-related were of a high probability.

Solution

 

Galaxy Tabs were given to Suryoday field executives to help digitise their customer on-boarding process

Knox enabled automatic installation of their eKYC application for Aadhaar verification on all tablets

These tablets were configured to KIOSK mode through Knox Manage

Knox Manage further enabled complete digitisation of

• Current Account and Saving Account opening (CASA)

• Loan collection

• Loan disbursement

Result

 

Customer application was updated in real-time to the central server

eKYC Aadhaar verification made the customer on-boarding process quick and hassle-free

KIOSK Mode eliminated the risk of tablets getting misused and on-field employees could access authorised applications only

Turnaround time of loan collection decreased significantly

Central monitoring of the devices added transparency to complete operations
