Why the Dispenser is not working?

If ice will not dispense through the door, please check the followings.

Basic preparation of ice maker

1. Connect the water line to the water supply valve of refrigerator to supply water.

2. Push the bucket back fully so that the guide-ice of ice maker should not touch the back of bucket. (If the back of bucket is touching the guide-ice of ice maker, the ice maker will not make any more ice because of a full ice signal.)

3. It takes around 6 hours to harvest a first cube of ice and you need to throw away 2-3 dumps of ice.


Step 1) Check if “No ice” is selected (for some models.)

Despite of No Ice selection, it will dispense ice cubes if there is ice cubes remaining in the bucket.

Step 2) Check if Ice cubes are in Ice bucket.

Make sure there is ice in the ice bucket. If there is no ice in the bucket, it only makes noise when pressing ice dispenser.

    Check if Ice cubes are in Ice bucket.   

Step 3) Check if ice bucket is fully inserted.

Make sure the ice bucket is fully inserted. If the ice bucket is not fully inserted, when you press the dispenser lever you will hear the motor run but no ice will be dispensed. Remove the ice bucket and then reinstall the ice bucket.

Step 4) Check the wiring connection.

If your refrigerator was just installed and disassembled doors to enter the house, make sure the wiring harness is connected well at the top of the door. For more information please refer to your user's manual.

Step 5) Check the ice type and function on display.

Make sure the ice feature is on by selecting cubed or crushed on the display panel.

Step 6) Check if the AUGER MOTOR is operating well.

When you press the ice lever there must be operation sound and ice flap is open.

    Check if the AUGER MOTOR is operating well.

Step 7) Check for ice jamming inside the ice bucket.

When ice jams in the ice bucket, the ice may not come out. If ice clung together in the ice bucket, the ice may not come out. Separate the ice and then use it.

Step 8) Check the number of ice cubes.

Check the number of ice cubes in the ice bucket and extract the ice only when there are at least 20 cubes. The ice comes out when there is at least 20 ice cubes in the ice bucket. Please wait until it amounts to more than 20.
