MAC Address Test Fails

If the MAC Address fails then it might be because of the incorrect setting being chosen in the Wireless Setup.

Solution:

 

a.  Reset TV.

 

b.  Go through the TV’s Initial set up.

 

c.  Try Network Set Up again - This issue can be resolved by re-selecting the connection type as Wireless in the network setup.

 

Note: For new series: 

 

Please follow the below steps to configure the network mode in Wireless.

1 Press the Menu button on the remote control and then scroll down and select Network and press Ok / Enter button on the remote control.

2 Select Network Settings from the list of options and press Ok / Enter button on the remote control.

3 Press Next to start the Network setup wizard.

4 Select Wireless option from the list and highligh Next and press Ok / Enter button on the remote control.

5 The available Wireless Networks in range will be searched and displayed. Choose the one which you like to use and highlight Next and press Ok / Enter on the remote control.

6 If theres any password set for the wireless network, please enter the password in the following screen and select Next and press Ok/ Enter on the remote control.

7 Now you will be connected to the network and will have all the auto populated fields being filled in automatically as the connection between the Wireless Device is established.

Now press Next and then press return until you are on the main screen. Now you are connected to the internet and you can go ahead and launch the Smart Hub and start using the internet on your Samsung Smart TV.

IP Address Test Fails

If the IP Address test fails, a red X will appear between the image of the TV and the Router AND no information will appear in the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway or DNS Server column.

This error can be cause due to :

     i) Incorrect Network Mode selected.

     ii) Configuration error in the Smart Hub Settings.  

 

Incorrect Network Mode Selected : 

 

Please follow the belos steps to select the correct Network Mode.

1 Press the Menu button on the remote control and then scroll down and select Network and press Ok / Enter button on the remote control.

2 Select Network Settings from the list of options and press Ok / Enter button on the remote control.

3 Press Next to start the Network setup wizard.

4 Select Wireless option from the list and highligh Next and press Ok / Enter button on the remote control.

5 The available Wireless Networks in range will be searched and displayed. Choose the one which you like to use and highlight Next and press Ok / Enter on the remote control.

7 Now you will be connected to the network and will have all the auto populated fields being filled in automatically as the connection between the Wireless Device is established.

Now press Next and then press return until you are on the main screen. Now you are connected to the internet and you can go ahead and launch the Smart Hub and start using the internet on your Samsung Smart TV. 

 

If this step doesn't solve the problem please proceed to do the steps listed below under Configuration Errors in Smart Hub.   

 

 

Configuration Error in Smart Hub :

 

Please follow the below steps to resolve the configuration erros in the Smart Hub by resetting it to default settings.

1 Launch Smart Hub by pressing the Smart Symbol on the remote control.
2 Once the Smart Hub is open please press the Keys on the remote control in the following order to open the start the Smart Hub reset.

3 Once the Smart Hub reset process has started, " Loading " will be displayed on the right hand side corner of the TV screen.

4 From the country options choose India as the country and then highlight Next and press OK / Enter on the remote control.

5 When prompted for update, please highlight ok and press the Ok / Enter button on the remote control.

6 It will now delete all the present services installed on the TV.

NOTE : It will also unistall / delete the applications installed by the user, which needs to be reinstalled by the user manually later.

7 It will now install the statndard applcations back on the TV.

After all the applications are installed the, the Smart Hub page will appear again.

 

Now you can try to connect the network by configuring again, and it should work.

Gateway Ping Test Fails

If the Gateway Address test fails, a red X will appear between the image of the TV and the Router AND no information will appear in the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway or DNS Server column.

This error can be cause due to :

     i) Incorrect Network Mode selected.

     ii) Configuration error in the Smart Hub Settings.

Configuration Error in Smart Hub :

 

Please follow the below steps to resolve the configuration erros in the Smart Hub by resetting it to default settings.

1 Launch Smart Hub by pressing the Smart Symbol on the remote control.
2 Once the Smart Hub is open please press the Keys on the remote control in the following order to open the start the Smart Hub reset.

Internet Service Test Fails

FaileIf the Internet Service test fails, a red X will appear between the Router and the Globe.

This type of error indicates that there is communication between the TV and the Wireless device, but there is some problem with the internet. 

 

Pleaese check if your internet is working fine, and there are no loose cables to the Wireless Modem / Router. 

 

If still the problem persists, please contact your Internet Service Provider.
