Humming / Hissing noise from TV speakers

Noise from the speakers :

 

At times we get kind of Humming / Hissing noise from the TV speakers.

 

•  Please perform the Sound Test and check sound is clear or not.

 

•  Sound Test for Old series: Menu > Support > Self diagnosis > Sound test

 

•  Sound Test for New series (K &M series) : Home > Settings > Self diagnosis > Sound test

 

•  If sound is clear then apply the Standard Equalizer setting and then recheck.

 

•  Steps to apply standard equalizer settings in New series (K &M series): Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Equiliser

 

•  Steps to apply standard equalizer settings in old series: Start > Menu > Sound > Sound effect > Equiliser

 

To apply standard equalizer settings please follow the below steps :

1 Turn on the TV and press the Menu button on the remote, and select Sound from the Menu Options.

2 Select Sound Effect from the Sound Options.

3 Select Equalizer from the Sound Effects menu.

4 Now you have to make sure that the two equalizers 100Hz & 10KHz are on the lower side. It should be toward the - symbol on the left.

Once you move both the equalizers towards left, select close button and then return to TV screen.

 

Now you would have eliminated the Humming / Hissing noise from the speakers.

One side speaker not working

 

Causes:   It can be occurred due to loose connection, cable problem with source

      

•  Check issue is related to audio/video files or not.

      
•   If issue is not related to audio/video files then play good quality audio/video file and check sound is coming or not.

      
•   If issue is related to audio/video files then check Sound Equalizer is balance  is balanced or not.

 

•  Steps to apply standard equalizer settings in New series (K &M series): Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Equiliser

 

•  Steps to apply standard equalizer settings in old series: Start > Menu > Sound > Sound effect > Equiliser

1 Checking the Settings :

a. Turn on the TV and press the Menu button on the remote, and select Sound from the Menu Options.

c. Select Equalizer from the Sound Effects menu.

d. Now you have to make sure that the Balance Bar is in the middle, so that equal input is provided to both the left and right speakers.

2 Checking the Connections :

a. This problem might occur if you are connecting a DVD Player / Setup box using component or complosite cables to the TV.

b. We need to make sure that the cables are connected as per the specifications and colour.

ex - the red cable should be connected to the red port and as per the specifications of Left ( L) or Right (R) sound output

c.  Also try checking the disk which is being played in some other player to confirm that the contents are in proper format.

 

d.  Check the TV audio/video connection if it is loose or cable damage.

 

e.  If connectivity issue then remove the audio/video cable from connectors and reconnect again.

 

f.  If audio/video cable is damage then change the cable or contact to service provider.

As most of the TV's from Samsung comes with a port whrere you can connect your headphone and enjoy the music / movie without outhers being disturbed.

 

There might be several reasons for the headphones not working with the TV. Please follow the below steps to correct the problem

1 Make sure that the Headphone is connected in the right jack on the TV. Generally, the H/P port is available on the left hand side of the TV.

2 Make sure that the H/P is connected firmly and there is no loose contacts in the connetions.
3 Check if the volume on both the TV / H/P's are not set to low and is audible when the H/P's are removed.
4 Try checking the H/P's with other products like Mobile Phone / Tab / FM receiver and check if that works fine or not. If not then you need to replace the H/P's.
5 If the H/P's are working fine with other device and not only with your TV, then there might be some issue with the TV. Please click on the below link to create a Online Service Request.

Volume Gets High / Low Automatically

Volume Gets High / Low Automatically :

 

There are two causes for the variances in the volume of a TV :

1 Different channels broadcasts at different volume levels.
2 Some of the content on a channel is louder than other content, for example Commercials are broadcast at a higher volume than regular TV Shows.

You cannot correct the difference in volume between content on one channel, but you can set the Auto Volume function to adjust the volume between different channels.

"Not Availabe Message" While adjusting Volume

Not Available Message :

 

This error is displayed when the user is trying to adjust the volume with the speaker settings selected as External Speakers and there are no External Speakers selected.

 

This can be corrected by simply changing the Speaker Select settings as listed below :

1 Press Menu button when the TV when its turned ON, and select the Option Sound and press OK / Enter button on the remote control.

2 Choose the option Speaker Settings and press the Ok / Enter button on the remote control.

3 Choose the option Speaker Select and press the Ok/ Enter button on the remote control.

4 Select the option "TV Speaker".

Press the Retrun / Exit Key on your remote to get back to the main screen of your TV.

 

Now the correct option is selected and you should be able to adjust the volume without any trouble.
