Problem with the TV Speakers

Humming / Hissing noise from TV speakersClick to Expand

At times we get kind of Humming / Hissing noise from the TV speakers, please follow the steps to rectify the issue:

  • Please perform the Sound Test and check sound is clear or not.                          

Sound Test for Old series(E, F, H, and J series): Menu > Support > Self diagnosis > Sound test                                              

 

Sound Test for New series (K, M, N and Q series): Home > Settings > Self diagnosis > Sound test

  • If sound is clear then apply the Standard Equalizer setting and recheck.

 

To apply standard equalizer settings, please follow the below steps :

For New Series TV(K, M, N, and Q series): Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Equalizer

 

For Old Series TV(E, F, H, and J series): Start > Menu > Sound > Sound effect > Equalizer 

1 Turn on the TV and press the Home button on the remote.

2 Using the Directional pad on your remote, navigate to and select Settings.

3 Select Sound.

4 Select Expert Settings.

5 Select Equalizer.
Problem with the TV Speakers
6 Now you have to make sure that the two equalizers 100Hz & 10KHz are on the lower side. It should be toward the - symbol on the left.

This problem can be occurred due to loose connection, cable problem with source.

Check the Sound by playing good quality audio/Video file

 

  • If issue is not related to audio/video files then play good quality audio/video file and check sound is coming or not.

Check Sound Balance Settings

 

  • If issue is related to audio/video files then check Sound is balanced or not.

 

To check Sound balance settings, please follow the below steps: 

For New Series TV(K, M, N, and Q series): Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Balance

 

For Old Series TV(E, F, H, and J series): Start > Menu > Sound > Sound effect > Equalizer > Balance

 

1 Turn on the TV and press the Home button on the remote.

2 Using the Directional pad on your remote, navigate to and select Settings.

3 Select Sound.

4 Select Expert Settings.

5 Select Balance.
Problem with the TV Speakers
6 Now you have to make sure that the Balance Bar is in the middle, so that equal input is provided to both the left and right speakers.

Check the Connections

  • This problem might occur if you are connecting a DVD Player / Setup box using component or complosite cables to the TV.

  • We need to make sure that the cables are connected as per the specifications and colour.

               example - the red cable should be connected to the red port and as per the specifications of Left ( L) or Right (R) sound output

 

  • Check the disk in some other player to confirm that the contents are in proper format. 

 

  • Check the TV audio/video connection if it is loose or cable damage. 

 

  • Check by removing the audio/video cable from connectors and reconnect again. 

 

  • If audio/video cable is damage then change the cable or contact to Service provider. 
Headphones not workingClick to Expand

As most of the Samsung TV's comes with a port where you can connect your headphone and enjoy the music / movie without disturbing others.

 

Please follow the below steps, if headphone doesn't work with TV :

1 Make sure that the Headphone is connected in the right jack on the TV. Generally, the audio out (mini jack) port is available on the left hand side of the TV.

For New Series TV(K, M, N and Q series): Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Select Audio Out/Optical

2 Press the Home button on your Remote.

5 Select Sound Output.

6 Select the appropriate Sound Output. For example, select Audio Out/Optical.

7 Select Close.

Volume Gets High / Low AutomaticallyClick to Expand

Below are the causes for variances in the TV volume :

1 Different channels broadcasts at different volume levels.
2 Some of the content on a channel is louder than other content.

For example: Commercials are broadcast at a higher volume than regular TV Shows.

3 Set Auto Volume function to adjust the volume between different channels.

For Old Series TV(E, F, H and J series): Menu > Settings > Sound > Sound mode > Speaker Settings > Auto Volume > Normal

 

For New Series TV(K, M, N and Q series): Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto volume > Normal

4 Check if TV/Remote Volume button is stucked or not.
5 Check by resetting the TV.
Not Availabe Message while adjusting VolumeClick to Expand

This error is displayed when the user is trying to adjust the volume with the speaker settings selected as External Speakers and there are no External Speakers selected.

 

Please follow the below steps to change the Speaker Select settings :

For Old Series TV(E, F, H and J Series): Menu > Sound > Speaker Settings > Speaker Select > TV Speaker

 

For New Series TV(K, M, N and Q Series): Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Output > TV Speaker

1 Turn on the TV and press the Home button on the remote.
