What are the options for Powering On/Off your Samsung TV?

Last Update Date : Mar 21. 2018

In Samsung TV, there are three types of Power option that helps you to power ON or Off your Samsung TV. These are namely Master Power,Auto Power Off and No Signal Power Off.

Master Power refers to the switch operation which supplies or shuts down the power. MICOM gets reset when master power turns off and on. However, there are cases for resetting MICOM only or resetting both MICOM and CPU at the same time. It depends on the model.

Auto Power Off is to turn off the power automatically when no signal state lasts for 15 minutes on main screen at TV mode. (Only the state of main screen is checked for this operation even though Picture-in-Picture Mode is on.)

No Signal Power Off saves power by turning off the TV when signal is received from the current source. There is duration setting in No Signal Power Off. You can set to 15/30/60 minutes as needed.
